Individual Therapy

Private therapy for anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem and personal growth.

How this service helps

One-to-one, confidential individual therapy for anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, low self-esteem and life transitions. The Meeting Matters has been providing individual counseling in Islamabad and online across Pakistan since 2010 — a private, non-judgemental space to understand what you're going through and build practical tools to move forward, whether in person or through online individual therapy from anywhere in the world.

Common Concerns We Help With

Clients come to individual therapy dealing with anxiety and constant worry, low mood or depression, chronic stress and burnout, grief and loss, trauma, low self-esteem and self-doubt, difficult life transitions, or simply a persistent sense that something isn't right — even without a diagnosis. One-on-one therapy gives you space to work through whatever is affecting you, at your own pace, without judgement.

What This Involves

Individual sessions are led by qualified psychologists using evidence-based approaches — including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness-based techniques — chosen to match what you're dealing with, not a one-size-fits-all script. Sessions typically run 45–60 minutes, weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs, available both in-person at our Islamabad clinic and through secure online individual therapy.

Our Approach

Every client's history and goals are different, so your therapist builds a personalised plan rather than applying a generic template. We combine structured, research-backed techniques with genuine attention to your specific circumstances — cultural background, family context and personal values all shape how therapy is approached.

Who This Is For

Anyone navigating anxiety, low mood, burnout, grief, relationship stress, identity questions, or simply wanting space to think clearly about a life decision. No diagnosis is required to start — many clients come simply because something feels harder than it should, and one-on-one counseling gives them a confidential place to make sense of it.

What to Expect

Your first session focuses on understanding your history, current concerns and goals. From there, your therapist builds a plan personalised to you, reviewing progress regularly and adjusting the approach as you go — whether you're looking for a handful of focused sessions or ongoing longer-term support.
