In-Person Care at Our Islamabad Clinic

Our clinic is at House 66, Street 73, F-11/1, reachable from the F and E sectors, Bahria Town, DHA Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Sessions are one to one, private and unhurried. Our main psychologist in Islamabad page lists the team and how to book, and our clinical psychologists assess and treat depression.

What Depression Can Look Like

Depression is more than feeling sad. It can bring a low or empty mood that lasts for weeks, loss of interest in things you used to enjoy, tiredness, changes in sleep or appetite, trouble concentrating, guilt, irritability or a sense that nothing will improve. In men, it often shows up as anger or withdrawal rather than tears. If you want to understand your own symptoms first, read our depression symptoms guide or take the depression test. A test is not a diagnosis, but it can help you decide to talk to someone.

How We Treat Depression

We use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and related approaches. In practice that means working out which thoughts keep the low mood going, testing them against real life, and rebuilding routine and activity step by step, since depression makes even small tasks feel heavy. Your psychologist agrees goals with you, and reviews progress as you go. Our page on depression therapy explains this in more detail.

What We Do and Do Not Provide

We are a psychology clinic. Our psychologists provide assessment and talking therapy, and they do not prescribe medication. For some people, a doctor or psychiatrist is also needed, for example when depression is severe or has not eased with therapy. If that applies to you, we will say so plainly, and we can work alongside your doctor so that your care fits together.

Postpartum, Teen and Other Forms of Depression

Depression can follow childbirth, school stress, loss, burnout or a long period of difficult circumstances. We offer support for postpartum depression, for teenagers through our teen counseling service, and for people dealing with grief, stress or relationship strain.

Depression Therapy Online Across Pakistan

If you live in Lahore, Karachi or another city, or you cannot travel, you can have the same therapy by secure video. Our page on online psychologists in Pakistan explains how online sessions work.

When to Seek Urgent Help

If you are having thoughts of ending your life, or you feel unable to keep yourself safe, do not wait for an appointment. Contact someone you trust, go to the nearest hospital emergency department, or contact us straight away.
