Online Marriage Counseling and Couples Therapy for Pakistani Couples

Online marriage counseling lets you and your partner talk to a psychologist by secure video, from home, without travel and without being seen going to a clinic. The Meeting Matters has worked with couples since 2010, in Islamabad and online. We see couples across Pakistan and Pakistanis living in the UK, the UAE and elsewhere, in Urdu, English or Punjabi, with evening and weekend slots.

Who Online Marriage Counseling Is For

Couples in cities where we have no clinic, such as Lahore and Karachi. Couples where one partner travels or lives abroad. Pakistani couples in the UK or the UAE who want a counsellor who understands family expectations, in-laws and cultural pressure. And couples who simply prefer privacy and convenience. Both partners can join from different places.

Led by Mr. Naushad Anjum

Mr. Muhammad Naushad Anjum is the founder of The Meeting Matters and a psychologist registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), registration number PYL041126, with an MPhil and an MSc in Psychology. Couple, marriage and relationship counselling and family counselling are his specialist areas. He sees clients online only. You can read his full profile and credentials. Bookings are arranged by our client team around his availability.

What Online Sessions Are Like

You need a phone or laptop, a stable internet connection and a private space. The first session is a conversation about what is going on and what each of you wants. After that, sessions work on the pattern behind the conflict, using structured methods such as the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy and CBT-based communication work, with practical steps to try between sessions. Research shows online therapy works as well as in-person therapy for most relationship concerns.

Respecting Faith, Family and Culture

Marriage in Pakistan involves families, faith and expectations that a purely Western approach can miss. Our counsellors work with these, not against them. If you would like counselling that respects your faith, see Islamic marriage counseling.

Couples in the UK, UAE and Abroad

We work with Pakistani couples overseas and arrange sessions around your time zone. See our pages for Pakistani psychologists in the UK, the UAE and Gulf, Muslim marriage counselling in the UK and South Asian couples therapy online.

“I am truly grateful to Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and the team at Meeting Matters. I reached out during one of the most difficult periods of my life while dealing with grief and trying to be the best parent I could be for my children. Ms. Tasmiya's kindness, empathy, and guidance helped me navigate emotions that often felt overwhelming. She helped me understand my feelings, regain perspective, and think through practical ways of supporting my children and myself. I always felt respected, heard, and comfortable during our sessions. I would wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and Meeting Matters to anyone going through a challenging time and looking for professional support in a compassionate environment.”
