If you live in Lahore and your marriage feels stuck in the same arguments, distance or mistrust, you can see an experienced marriage counselor without leaving home. The Meeting Matters offers online couples therapy to Lahore couples with psychologists based at our Islamabad clinic. Both of you join one secure video session, in English, Urdu or Punjabi.
Ready to talk to someone?
The reasons we hear most from Lahore couples are constant arguments that go nowhere, tension with in-laws or extended family, money and household responsibilities, one partner feeling unheard, loss of closeness, and trust broken by secrecy or an affair. Marriage counseling is not a last resort. Many couples come while the relationship is still warm, because they want to fix a pattern before it hardens. If you would rather attend in person at our F-11/1 clinic, our psychologist in Islamabad page lists the psychologists who see clients face to face, their days.
You and your partner sit together at home, in the same room and on the same screen, or join from different places if one of you is travelling. The therapist leads the conversation, slows down the arguments and helps each of you say what you actually mean. Sessions are usually 45 to 60 minutes. Most couples start weekly, and many notice a change within six to eight sessions, though complex issues take longer.
We use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which maps the emotional cycle couples get trapped in, and the Gottman Method, which builds friendship, repairs conflict and rebuilds trust. Read our guide to how EFT works and our page on the Gottman Method and EFT.
In many Lahore homes the marriage is not just two people. Decisions about where to live, how money is spent and who has a say can put a couple under pressure from several sides. Your counselor helps you and your partner stand together, set respectful boundaries and speak about family without turning it into a fight.
If trust has been broken, the first sessions focus on safety, honesty and what each of you needs to decide whether to continue. See our page on infidelity and affair recovery and the guide on what research says about the success rate of marriage counseling.
If you are engaged or planning marriage, premarital counseling helps you talk through expectations, family roles, money and communication before the wedding.
Fees depend on the therapist and the type of session, with a 20% discount for students, and the fee is the same online or in person. Sessions are confidential. You choose a time that works for both of you, including evenings and weekends, and we usually reply within about 30 minutes. See how much marriage counseling costs in Pakistan.

“I am truly grateful to Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and the team at Meeting Matters. I reached out during one of the most difficult periods of my life while dealing with grief and trying to be the best parent I could be for my children. Ms. Tasmiya's kindness, empathy, and guidance helped me navigate emotions that often felt overwhelming. She helped me understand my feelings, regain perspective, and think through practical ways of supporting my children and myself. I always felt respected, heard, and comfortable during our sessions. I would wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and Meeting Matters to anyone going through a challenging time and looking for professional support in a compassionate environment.”
