Arguing all the time, living like strangers, struggling to trust each other again, or stuck between your own family and your partner? The Meeting Matters has helped couples in Islamabad since 2010. Our marriage counsellors see couples at our clinic at House 66, Street 73, F-11/1, or online by secure video, in Urdu, English or Punjabi. Marriage counseling cannot promise a marriage will last, but it helps both of you understand what is going wrong and decide what to do next with a clear head.
Ready to talk to someone?
The reasons are usually familiar: the same arguments on repeat, silence and distance, anger, jealousy, trust broken by an affair or by lies, pressure from in-laws and extended family, money and work stress, or a gap that opened after children. Couples also come before a decision about separation, or after a long period of unhappiness. You do not need to be sure the marriage can be saved to start.
Mr. Muhammad Naushad Anjum is the founder of The Meeting Matters and a psychologist registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), registration number PYL041126, with an MPhil and an MSc in Psychology. Couple, marriage and relationship counselling and family counselling are his specialist areas. He sees clients online only. You can read his full profile and credentials. Bookings are arranged by our client team around his availability.
The first session is a conversation about what each of you wants and what is getting in the way. You do not have to prepare anything. From there, sessions focus on the pattern behind the arguments, not just the latest fight: how you talk, how you each react under stress, and what each of you needs and is not getting. Our counsellors use structured, evidence-based methods such as the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy and CBT-based communication work, with practical steps to try between sessions. If it helps, individual sessions can run alongside joint ones.
Our clinic in F-11/1 is easy to reach from the F, E and G sectors, I-8, Bahria Town and DHA Islamabad. Many couples choose online sessions by secure video, which suits evening or weekend slots, long commutes, or when one partner is travelling or abroad. Both partners can join from different places. Tell us which you prefer when you message us. See also online marriage counseling.
It is common for one partner to be unsure. You can start alone, and many couples join together after a session or two. Our guide is marriage counseling worth it? gives an honest answer, including when it is not the right first step.
If there is violence, threats or fear at home, safety has to come before couples counselling. Tell us in your first message and we will suggest the safest way to start, often with individual support first.
Marriage and relationship issues, infidelity and affair recovery, divorce and separation counseling, Islamic marriage counseling, premarital counseling and family therapy. Couples outside Islamabad: Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi. Our main page for the city is psychologist in Islamabad.

“I am truly grateful to Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and the team at Meeting Matters. I reached out during one of the most difficult periods of my life while dealing with grief and trying to be the best parent I could be for my children. Ms. Tasmiya's kindness, empathy, and guidance helped me navigate emotions that often felt overwhelming. She helped me understand my feelings, regain perspective, and think through practical ways of supporting my children and myself. I always felt respected, heard, and comfortable during our sessions. I would wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and Meeting Matters to anyone going through a challenging time and looking for professional support in a compassionate environment.”
