Clinical hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation and focused attention within a psychological framework. At The Meeting Matters in Lahore, it is offered by Ms. Attiqa Aslam, a clinical psychologist and hypnotherapist (MS Clinical Psychology, UMT Lahore), in person at College Road and in DHA Phase 3, or online, in Urdu and English.
Ready to talk to someone?
In clinical hypnotherapy, a trained professional guides you into a state of deep relaxation and focused attention. You stay aware of what is happening and in control throughout. It is used within a psychological framework, which means it is combined with an understanding of your concerns, goals and history, and it is often used alongside talking therapy rather than on its own.
People use clinical hypnotherapy to support relaxation, stress management, confidence and self-belief, habit change, focus and performance, and sleep-related concerns. It can also be one tool when working with persistent emotional patterns. Results vary from person to person, and no outcome is guaranteed. Your psychologist will tell you honestly whether it is likely to suit your concern.
It is not mind control, and nobody can make you say or do something against your will. It is not sleep. It is not a replacement for assessment and treatment of serious mental health conditions, and it may not be suitable for everyone. In a first conversation, your psychologist will ask about your history and decide with you whether hypnotherapy is appropriate, or whether another approach would help more.
The first session is mostly a conversation: what brings you in, what you want to change and what you have tried. Every step is explained and agreed before it happens. If hypnotherapy is a good fit, the session includes a guided relaxation, a clear purpose agreed with you in advance, and time afterwards to talk about the experience. Many people also practise simple techniques between sessions. The number of sessions depends on your goals.
Hypnotherapy is practised by people with very different training. Ask any practitioner about their qualifications, what they are registered with and how they handle consent and safety. Ms. Attiqa Aslam is a clinical psychologist with an MS in Clinical Psychology from UMT Lahore, so hypnotherapy sits inside a wider psychological assessment. See her profile. For talking therapy alone, see our page on individual therapy.
In-person sessions are at Block C, PCSIR Staff Colony, College Road, Lahore (on College Road, near Johar Town and Sheraz Town), and at Plot 46, 1st Floor, Z Sector Parking Area, Sector Z, DHA Phase 3, Lahore, from 9 AM to 6 PM. Online sessions run by secure video across Pakistan and for Pakistanis abroad. For other help in the city, see our page on a psychologist in Lahore.
Fees are confirmed when you book. Book a session or message us on WhatsApp, and we usually reply within about 30 minutes.

“I am truly grateful to Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and the team at Meeting Matters. I reached out during one of the most difficult periods of my life while dealing with grief and trying to be the best parent I could be for my children. Ms. Tasmiya's kindness, empathy, and guidance helped me navigate emotions that often felt overwhelming. She helped me understand my feelings, regain perspective, and think through practical ways of supporting my children and myself. I always felt respected, heard, and comfortable during our sessions. I would wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and Meeting Matters to anyone going through a challenging time and looking for professional support in a compassionate environment.”
