Counselor in Pakistan: Online and In-Person Counselling

Counselling is a confidential space to talk through a problem with someone trained to listen and to help you find a way forward. It is not only for crisis: many people come for stress, a hard decision, exam or career worries, a difficult relationship, or because something has felt off for a while. The Meeting Matters offers counselling online across Pakistan and in person at our clinic at F-11/1, Islamabad, in Urdu, Punjabi or English.

What Counselling Is, and What It Is Not

Counselling is a talking-based process that helps you understand what is happening, build coping skills and make decisions. It is not advice-giving, a lecture, or a religious ruling. Counselling and psychotherapy overlap: counselling often focuses on a current problem, while psychotherapy may go deeper into long-standing patterns. Our team works across both. See psychotherapist in Pakistan.

Common Reasons People Seek a Counselor

Stress and burnout, anxiety and overthinking, low mood, grief, exam pressure and student counselling, career counselling, marriage and family conflict, in-law pressure, loneliness, anger, self-esteem and life transitions such as a move, a breakup or a new job.

Counselor, Psychologist or Psychotherapist?

The titles are used loosely in Pakistan. A psychologist has formal training in psychology and assessment, and a counselor focuses on counselling skills. What matters is training, experience and fit. We are psychologists and do not prescribe medication. If a medical opinion would help, we will say so and work alongside your doctor or psychiatrist. Read our guide to choosing between a psychologist, therapist or counselor.

Online Counselling

Sessions are by secure video from any private space, with evening and weekend slots. There is no commute and no waiting room, which many people find makes it easier to start. See online counselling in Pakistan and online psychologist in Pakistan.

Marriage and Relationship Counselling

Couples can attend together or one partner can come alone first. We use evidence-based approaches such as the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy. See marriage counseling, Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.

How to Start

Message us on WhatsApp with what you are dealing with and a time that suits you. We usually reply within about 30 minutes and will suggest a suitable therapist. We are not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital.
