Career counseling for students is a series of guided conversations that help you choose a subject group, degree or career path based on your interests, strengths and values, and on what is realistic, rather than only on marks, family expectation or what your friends are choosing. The Meeting Matters offers career counseling for school, college and university students at our F-11/1 Islamabad clinic and online across Pakistan and abroad.
Ready to talk to someone?
After matric, when choosing between science, commerce or arts groups. After FSc, ICS, FA or A-levels, when choosing a degree and a university. In the middle of a degree you are no longer sure about. When you are thinking of switching fields. Or whenever you feel pulled in different directions by your interests, your marks and your family's hopes.
Sessions are guided conversations, not a test with a single answer. Your counselor helps you explore what you enjoy and do well, what matters to you in a career, what each option actually involves day to day, and what the realistic routes into it are. You leave with a clearer shortlist and concrete next steps, such as what to research, who to talk to and how to decide between your top options.
Many students in Pakistan feel caught between what their family expects and what they want. Counseling gives you a private space to work out what matters to you and how to talk about it. If it helps, a parent can join a guidance session so that everyone is working from the same information.
Career confusion often comes with anxiety, fear of failure, perfectionism or the pressure of comparison. Where that is the case, your counselor can work on those too, alongside the career question. Our student counseling and exam stress service supports exam anxiety and academic pressure.
Sessions are available by secure video across Pakistan and for Pakistani students studying abroad, with evening and weekend slots that fit around school and university timetables.
Fees depend on the counselor. Your counselor confirms the exact fee before your first session.

βI am truly grateful to Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and the team at Meeting Matters. I reached out during one of the most difficult periods of my life while dealing with grief and trying to be the best parent I could be for my children. Ms. Tasmiya's kindness, empathy, and guidance helped me navigate emotions that often felt overwhelming. She helped me understand my feelings, regain perspective, and think through practical ways of supporting my children and myself. I always felt respected, heard, and comfortable during our sessions. I would wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Tasmiya Asghar and Meeting Matters to anyone going through a challenging time and looking for professional support in a compassionate environment.β
